Part of the entire new defence signed by Gary Megson in the Summer of 2005, Gino was a cult figure at Loftus Road. He was experienced and appeared to have more than enough quality for League One, so I guess it was inevitable that Megson would decide he was crap after a handful of games. Gino rapidly joined the list of players buried under Megson's patio.

Colin Calderwood wasn't much more impressed, despite giving all players a fresh chance when he took over the club. Padula was quietly allowed to leave in the January 2007 transfer window.

21 August 2006 vs Accrington Stanley (Fraser Eagle Stadium)
Carling Cup 1st Round - LOST 0-1
